Default Things to do in or around Sibenik

Somebody has asked me for a list of things to do in and around Sibenik, I know the area quite well, but after 1 hour in the old town, I am bored.

So can those who know the area better, list some things to do, I have already said Primosten, a walk around the old town In Sibenik anything else? Good restaurants appreciated.

Travel to Zadar.....but seriously you can go up to the old ruined castle, Yawn. The quayside restaurants are OK. But get in early during the summer.

A nice day trip would be to take the bus to Skradin and take a boat into the Krka National Park to see the beautiful waterfalls.

It depends on what you want, you have hillwalking and mountainclimbing just behind it, horseriding and kayaking/canoeing, I would say skiing it'd be out of season, there are eco-farms also a short bus trip back, on top of that you have Visovac, the roman town/camp ruins in Burnum, the Crusader trail, Cikola Valley (I'm trying to keep it all to within easy bus ride and no more than 30 mins back, Primosten is nice, but limited. Krka is a good day out, especially the boat ride. Then you have Krapanj, the Kornati, Zlarin etc for half day to day trips. Split is more than decent but apart from the largely unexplored Solin, you have the old city and the Palace, the Riva and some nice museums. Oh, almost forgot, just behind Sibenik you have the Mestrovic Mausoleum and Museum, well worth a visit for views alone and there are buses connecting from Sibenik to it.

Apart from the Svacic winery and Prsut farm, I couldn't really recommend a good place to sample and pick up local produce, not that is nicely packaged and accessible. Depending on if he/she wants to go to a beach and have some fun then Solaris or Vodice are among the cleanest and most user friendly on the coast.
