Default Starigrad: Hotel Alan

Hotel Alan in Starigrad, operating as part of the Bluesun
Hotels Company recently got a new wellness centre covering about
a thousand square metres.

Over a million Euros have been invested into the renovation of this
three-star hotel over the past few years, signifi cantly raising the quality
of the services and offer at the hotel, and the new wellness
centre is the fi rst of its kind to be opened in the hotels of the Bluesun
Company, owners of facilities in Tučepi, Brela and Bol on the island
of Brač.

Hotel Alan is situated along the seaside with a pebble beach and
luxuriant Mediterranean vegetation. It is only 800 metres from the
downtown core of Starigrad and about a kilometre from the entrance
to Paklenica National Park. The hotel is especially adapted to
persons with disabilities, guests with special needs and all those
who during their vacation want to enjoy well outfi tted sports facilities,
entertainment and culinary specialities. As there is an up-to-date,
600-capacity, auto camp near the hotel, campers too have the opportunity
to enjoy this well known tourist destination at the foothills
of the Velebit mountain chain, and the new wellness centre at the
hotel.

The centre offers a gamut of beauty and health facilities – a large
choice of saunas and whirlpools and a wide range of various medicinal,
preventive and therapeutic programs.
Starigrad is the centre of the about 20 kilometre long Paklenica Riviera,
an area that captivates and charms visitors with its unique
meeting of sea and mountain. The gentle Mediterranean and sharp
mountain climates meet here in a miraculous way, while Paklenica
National Park spreads across the hinterland of this settlement,
encompassing two spectacular canyons: Velika (Grand) and Mala
(Small) Paklenica. The park has a wealth of rare animal and plant
species, for which reason UNESCO in 1987 declared it to be a biogenetic
reserve. Starigrad is, because of its unique position, a place
that offers an ideal holiday to guests with a preference for sports and
adventure. Bathers can enjoy pebble beaches, while those looking
for some recreation and the athletically inclined have at their disposal
a large selection of sports facilities and activities, while nature
lovers and those with a passion for athletic challenges like hiking,
free climbing, mountain biking and trekking should defi nitely visit Paklenica
National Park.
