No! There are no beaches with sand. It is very advisable for everyone to wear plastic shoes not because of the rocks but because of sea urchins and so forth. Also best to take an umbrella for some shade. The outdoor pools which are there mostly belong to the Hotels.

There are some fantastic beaches around Verudela in Pula - all are pebble beaches.
A resort called Medulin which is about 12 km from Pula has sand - lots of it. The resort during the summer is busy, the water very shallow so less good for swimming but if making sandcastles is your thing - then no reason why not! |

Hi!
IĀ´ve read your posts about the beaches around Pula. A friend of mine wants to go with his family (2 children - 6 and 9) to Pula. But while reading your posts I thought it would not the best decision to spent family-holiday there. Is this right? I know some other good croatian beaches but nothing around or in the near of Pula. Any advices? :?: Greetings from Berlin
