Jelsa – Island of Hvar - Hotels Mina and Fontana waiting renovation
The hotel company Jelsa from the place of the same name on the central Dalmatian Island of Hvar has begun intensive preparations for the upcoming tourist season. The reconstruction of the Hotel Mina began recently where an investment of about 600,000 Euros will reconstruct the reception and kitchen areas and all the rooms, including the construction of a contemporary fitness centre which will also give this Jelsa hotel a new appearance. Other than this, the hotel settlement Fontana will also be thoroughly renovated where, after last year’s investment of about 3 million Euros, only accommodation facilities will be renovated so that the total of 144 rooms will be transformed into 54 luxury suites, each about 70 square metres in size. However, the capacity of this settlement will also be increased by the construction of a pavilion settlement on a surface of about 3500 square metres for which a building license has been acquired but it is not yet known exactly how many accommodation units it will have. However, it is known that the entire pavilion section will also be complete by May when it will also be ready to receive its first guests.
