Investments - About 400 million Euros into preparations for the tourist season

A total of 400 million Euros will be invested into Croatian tourism for preparations for this year’s tourist season. According to plans nearly half of the total sum will be spent on the Istrian County. More exactly about 186 million Euros will be invested into the development of tourist products - everything that is directly connected with tourism, on additional development of the hotel sector and agro-tourism. Next according to amount of investment is the Primorje-Goranska County into which will be invested a total of 132 million Euros and this also into the development of accommodation infrastructure and appearance of tourist destinations. Following are investments into the Dubrovnik-Neretva County which this year will amount to a total of 111 million Euros with which will reconstructed the not yet renovated accommodation capacities and with this the current chronic lack of capacity will be amended. The Split-Dalmatian County will this year invest 35 million Euros into facilities which will primarily be focused on raising the quality of existing accommodation facilities, while into neighbouring counties – Zadar and Å*ibenik-Knin will be invested about 27 million Euros together and this also into the modernisation of accommodation and some new tourist products. Into the Lika-Senj County which represents a blend of mountain and sea tourism, will be invested about 16 million HRK and this mainly into improving the overall infrastructure and something into new tourist capacities which are, given increased demand, become an imperative.
