This topic is dedicated to the interesting bits and pieces about Croatia. So, if you have any questions, or you find some interesting detail -shoot away!
I´ll start:
DID YOU KNOW... that the Dalmatian dog received his name from Dalmatia and the Illyrian tribe Dalmata. In the Franciscan monastery in Zaostrogo there is a painting of the “Last supper” by an unknown author from the 18th century, in which along side Jesus and the Apostles is also a dog – a Dalmatian!

...that on the island Cres there are no poisinous snakes on the island Cres? That wouldn´t that interesting if it weren´t for the legend that explains that this is so thanks to St. Gaudentius, protector saint of the island of Cres.
